Shalom is a small-to-medium sized College, comprising 130 residents. We welcome applicants from existing and potential UNSW students from all types of backgrounds. Each candidate is considered for admission on his/her own merits.

To complete the application form you will need information about your academic history, finances and referees. You will also need to pay a AU$20 application fee via Visa, Mastercard or Paypal.

Successful applicants will be contacted (usually by email unless otherwise stated) for interview. These are usually conducted in person at the College. However, phone interviews can easily be arranged if necessary, particularly in the case of international students.

Rates for 2009:
AU$365 per week for a room with a shared bathroom.
AU$440 per week for an ensuite room.
These rates include meals.Some additional charges apply.

Criteria for selection include some of the following:

• sporting prowess or participation

• individual initiative, achievements or special talents
• perseverance or persistence in challenging circumstances
• performance in the interview - for those applicants who reach the interview stage
