Shalom College has arguably the finest facilities on offer at of all UNSW colleges. These include:

Study Rooms

Shalom College is committed to the further development of our residents’ academic potential and offers private study rooms in quiet areas around the campus. These rooms may be used for personal or group study. Each study room offers connection to the university’s high-speed internet.

Library

The Shalom College library is regularly used by our residents as a place to study. 

IT & Information Services

High-speed, secure and firewall-protected internet connection is available in every resident’s bedroom.

In addition, Shalom College has a computer lab for residents. Open 24-hours a day, there are 3 computers accessible to students, which are connected directly to the UNSW campus-wide network. 

Laundry

Two laundries are available to residents offering washing and drying facilities. Five washing machines and five tumble dryers in total are available for use at a cost of $1 per load.

Food

As part of our all-inclusive package, meals are provided for all residents at Shalom College. The college dining room provides a healthy and delicious kosher menu.

There are three cafeteria-style meals served every weekday and brunch and dinner served on weekends.

Our meal times are:

Monday – Friday

Breakfast	7.30am - 9.00am
Lunch	12.30pm - 2.00pm
Dinner	5.30pm - 7.00pm

Saturday and Sunday

Brunch	10.00am - 12.00pm
Dinner	5.30pm - 7.00pm

Outside of mealtimes, residents may help themselves to the available fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Shalom College also provides the use of a toaster and miscellaneous preserves and spreads for the time between dinner and breakfast the following day, free of charge.

An array of snacks and drinks are available from a resident-managed vending machine.
