Shalom offers so much! Opportunities to play sport; social and cultural activities to choose from; and really great academic support from tutors! The low ratio of residents to tutors is something you just don’t get everywhere. The residents’ society, RESSOC, is really active and they try to cater for everyone. |
College Dates
While Shalom College is open all year and residents are welcome to stay throughout, each resident is contracted to reside at the college for a minimum of 17 weeks per semester. This includes all teaching weeks, mid-semester breaks and the exam period. (See below for 2010 semester dates.) All new residents must commit to an additional week in Semester 1 for Orientation Week.
Residents are welcome to stay in college during the mid-year break in July. The same rate during semester will apply and meals will be provided. Alternatively, residents may vacate their room with no-charge. Residents seeking to stay over the summer period will be charged a room-only rate.
